Katherine Jean Bolduan known by the nick name Kate Bolduan in her profession is a journalist of American heritage. Her most well-known role is as anchorwoman of CNN's morning show At This Hour. Bolduan was previously a cohost of the CNN Monday Morning Programs New Day and The Situation Room. Bolduan was a part of CNN's coverage on both the presidential and 2012 elections. Bolduan also worked as a congressional correspondent based in Washington DC covering the activities of the US House and the senate. As a member of the Capitol Hill Unit Bolduan reported on the legislative cycle and other congressional activities, including negotiations to increase the limit on federal debt and the super committee discussion. Additionally, she was a general assignment correspondent, covering stories such as the 2009 Christmas Day bombing attempt the landmark Supreme Court decision on Obamacare and the implementation of Obamacare's stimulus program of the government in 2009. In 2007, she was hired by CNN as a correspondent for the national with CNN Newsource. As a correspondent for the national network, she was responsible for breaking news coverage and feature news for more than 800 CNN Newsource affiliates. Previously, she was a reporter for NBC News MSNBC & WTVD-TV. She lives now living in New York City together with her husband, two kids and two grandkids.
