After singing in church during her early years, she wanted to pursue an interest in gospel music throughout her teenage years. Perry loved all sorts of music, even if her parents were against her to, as she was always drawn to music. Perry was an extremely outgoing person who had a dream of becoming a professional musician. Her first big break was difficult and she had overcome numerous obstacles. Prior to signing with 'Capitol ' Records' numerous of her tracks had to be relegated. Her second studio record 'One Of The Boys" was an enormous success and was a pivotal turning point in the career of the performer. This was when her path as a musician was born. Her next album, "Teenage Dreams,' was a hit with music fans and is among the top-selling albums of all time. The album set records in numerous ways and cemented her place as an acclaimed musician. Apart from the recording and writing of songs, Perry is also known for her philanthropic works. Perry is an LGBT rights activist.
