Julia-roberts
Julia Fiona Roberts was born in Atlanta on October 28, 1967 in the home of Betty Lou Bredemus and Walter Grady Roberts. Her family is the fourth Roberts family to have resided in Atlanta. It began with her great grandfather John Pendleton Roberts who was a farm. Early on, her father became interested in theater. While he was a pupil in Emory University from 1952 to 1954, he took part in many shows. In 1953, he enlisted in the Air Force and while stationed in Biloxi in Mississippi acted in a play together with Betty Lou Bredemus. The couple got married in 1955, and their first son Eric Anthony was born in 1956. Walter went to Tulane University New Orleans Louisiana following his departure from the Air Force in 1957. Walter worked with Atlanta Academy Theater and Harrington Scenic and Lighting Studio. In 1960, the family relocated to Decatur Georgia. Walter along with Betty Lou produced a Saturday matinee local TV show for children known as Bum Bum and His Buddies in 1964. It was a venture they self-financed. Later that year they founded the Actors and Writers Workshop which operated for six years. They had Lelisa Billingsley (also called Lisa) and Julia (also called Julie) at the time.
