Alison Krauss
Alison Krauss was born July 23, 1971, in Decatur, Illinois. She and LeAnn Kymes were among the youngest recipients of a Grammy Award. Alison Maria Krauss, born on July 23, 1971, is an American artist and performer. She began her career in the field in her early years, as she was a mere 10 years young. When she was 14, she enrolled with Rounder Records and in 1987 she released her first solo album. After that, she was asked to join Alison Krauss Union Station, her current band that she sings with. The first album she released as a collective with this band was released in 1989.
